Welcome to Achin' Acres Farm and Stables

Achin' Acres Farm is multipurpose complex set on 14 partially wooded acres in Hinckley, Ohio (about 30 miles south of Cleveland).  There are several acres of trails, an indoor riding arena, a 30 stall barn, an outdoor warm-up ring and a full-sized  standard outdoor show ring. Achin' Acres is just a 10 minute trailer ride from the Metro Parks in both the Hinckley Reservation and the Cleveland Metro Parks System.

Achin' Acres got it's name from the physical aches and pains that went into building the Farm from the ground up and a play on the name of the street where the original farm started. Former owners, Robert and Mildred Siegmyer started the farm on a 4 acre lot on Akins Road in North Royalton, Ohio.  The families interest in horse breeding, showing, and boarding, outgrew the original location and the Hinckley, Ohio property was purchased. The ownership of Achin' Acres was transferred to Rae Ellen Siegmyer.  She was able to single-handedly keep the farm afloat when health problems caused Robert and Mildred to move. Since becoming sole owner of Achin' Acres, Rae Ellen Siegmyer has made numerous improvements to the property, and has upheld the high standards of excellent care that have always been the theme of Achin' Acres.  Some of the improvements include an outdoor refreshment pavilion for use at horse shows, re-grading of the show grounds to keep the ground as dry as possible during wet weather, a new roof on the horse barn, and many others.

Achin' Acres helps to promote the hobby and business of horse ownership and horse showing by promoting a six to nine  Benefit Horse Show series that is held each year at the Achin' Acres show grounds.  Rae Ellen Siegmyer helps her community and church by allowing the use of her facility for the benefit of the Achin' Saddle Cincher's 4-H Club, of Medina County, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to name a few. Boarders at Achin' Acres Farm enjoy quality care, and consideration of both owner and horses.
